Microsoft Windows 10’s new update invites a range of bugs and issues

Microsoft recently rolled out Windows 10 KB4517389 update with important security fixes. The latest update, however, is now causing a range of issues to Windows 10 users.

According to reports, Windows 10 users are facing issues with the Start menu. In some cases, Windows 10 prompts users to sign out of Windows and log in again. Doing so, however, doesn’t fix the problem.

Microsoft says it’s aware about the problem and a fix is on its way. “We are aware of this issue and estimate a resolution to be released in late October,” said a Microsoft employee on the company’s forum.

Virtual Pets, Virtual People and Virtual Immortality

One of the interesting and somewhat underappreciated aspects of the Qualcomm wireless event in San Diego a few weeks back is that 5G will make realistic augmented reality avatars possible. This advance will be possible because with high bandwidth and very low latency, processing could shift from the device to the cloud.

Google Assistant to interact with users in HIndi, eight other languages

US based search giant Google on Thursday announced a major update for Assistant users in India where one can now make Assistant talk in Hindi by just asking “Ok Google, Hindi bolo or “Talk to me in Hindi.

The new update comes to the Google Assistant a day after Amazon announced that Alexa will support Hindi and Hinglish conversations.

“For many Indians, voice is increasingly becoming their preferred way to search, and today Hindi has become the second-most used Assistant language globally [...]

Future iPhones may come with LED-illuminated Apple logo

Future iPhones are expected to feature an LED-illuminated Apple logo at the back of the device and it could be used for notifications, a recent company’s patent suggests.

The patent, originally filed before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is titled as “Electronic Devices With Adjustable Decoration”.

The patent also suggests that the LED may come in several colours, each one for the different notifications, news portal GizmoChina reported.

The idea of the LED-illuminated Apple logo, however, would not be new as it was available on older MacBooks too.

The 2020 iPhones could feature a metal frame design similar [...]
